Build a PC Empire uses the official phrase go public for a progression reset: the Experience description says you start again with permanent perks. Players often search for “rebirth,” but that community term does not define what resets, what stays, the threshold, or the perk. Read the current confirmation screen before acting.
Create a before-reset inventory
Screenshots are useful, but write the values as well. A before/after pair is the strongest evidence for the reset contract.
Read the live confirmation
Do not rely on the word “permanent” alone. Read every line explaining lost progress, retained items, the perk, and any irreversible step. If the confirmation does not list a field, treat it as uncertain. Cancel and test on a less important save only when the game permits a safe comparison.
Wait for the autosave indicator before opening the reset and again after the new company loads. Confirm the intended save slot. More saves provides separate company slots, but the current account screen should determine where the action occurs.
Decide whether the timing is good
Compare the verified permanent perk with what the current company is about to finish. Staying may be better when a high-value goal, laptop unlock, product experiment, or leaderboard result is close. Going public may be attractive when the company has plateaued and the perk meaningfully improves the next full run.
There is no supported universal cash, year, valuation, or research threshold in the public sources. Any exact “rebirth at X” rule needs the live requirement and the player’s goal.
Verify the permanent perk
Record the perk name and exact description before confirming. After the reset, find the same field and run a simple test tied to its claimed effect. Keep unrelated passes, clock speed, and company choices stable where possible.
A faster early company after resetting is not enough to measure the perk if you also changed strategy. Compare a repeatable action or displayed value. If the game does not expose the effect clearly, label the magnitude unverified.
Goals and leaderboards
Capture active and completed goals before going public because the public description does not say whether goal state survives. Check the leaderboard category and current entry as well. A reset may alter company valuation, eligible state, or the value displayed for ranking.
Creative companies never count for leaderboards, and Double sales extra money does not count for leaderboards or company valuation according to official pass descriptions. Do not use those effects to estimate a go-public requirement unless the live interface explicitly does.
Purchases versus company progress
Roblox gamepass ownership is account-level, and several descriptions say the benefit applies in every company or permanently. That does not prove every company-specific unlock, staff member, office, research node, or goal survives. Verify ownership and feature access separately from saved progression.
If a purchased feature does not appear after reset, rejoin once and confirm the correct account and save before seeking support. Do not repurchase from an external link.
After the reset
Take an immediate inventory before making a new product. Then complete one baseline product cycle and compare it with the earlier opening where possible. Record the new starting cash, year, available parts, research state, office, staff, goals, and perk behavior.
Update the reset ledger with Retained, Reset, Changed, or Not shown for every field. Do not convert “not shown” into “reset” until the game reveals the field.
Unverified reset fields
The go-public requirement, confirmation wording, reset list, retained fields, number and names of permanent perks, perk values, scaling across multiple resets, goal interaction, research-point behavior, leaderboard behavior, and save-slot behavior require current in-game testing.
Until those fields are documented, this guide recommends a verification process rather than a promised outcome. That is the safest way to protect a developed company and produce a useful record for the next run.
